Sils went into this game looking to match their National League opponents, with a strong squad - bolstered by additions to the squad of Solihull School 1st Team Captain Charlie Hadley, County forward Adam Pulman and other Silhillians Connor Gregory.
The first half was a close affair, with Theo Olifent in goal making some great saves, but the visitors took the lead. However Hadley, having had a sighter with his first PC attempt did one better with his second effort, sending the ball rocketing into the top corner, Cannock's giant keeper getting nowhere near the shot.
The second half began to get a bit tasty, and whilst Cannock were the side to receive a yellow card, their superior finishing meant that they ended up winning the match 4-1.
Not a terrible way to bow out of a National Competition, almost matching a club whose U18s were National Cup Champions a couple of years ago - and goes to show how far our club has progressed in the last few years. Well done lads!
