Make like a triangle to keep the season on course !
As Shaun says, shape is vital. Ours needs to be a little festive not just to prepare for Christmas (trees), but because it's three points that M4 are after as they take on Edgbaston next week in the first of back-to-back home games in the league. After a composed and committed display in the icy North of Lichfield, the Mighty 4s must make sure that confidence defeats complacency yet again as they push on for a "podium place" in the League.
The revolving doors of availability turn once more for the Sils' next fixture. In comes Steve Aylin after completing his tour of the UK (any good jokes Steve? How about "two monkeys in a bath ...? (I'll tell you the rest on Saturday))), out goes Mike Bettridge after pulling a hamster (I mean hamstring. ....... or do I ?).
In the wings are Sam Teal, Murray Creed and Tony Dwyer (so where is the car park space then ?).
M4 will be happy to return to a 4pm slot for their game, but such was the reaction to the Lichfield early start in Asia (read last week's preview if you don't understand) that lunchtime games may become the norm by order of North Korea. That's because having watched the game via live streaming on Saturday night, their government have allegedly invested in 1000 x Betamax machines and ordered a search for cassettes of earlier matches. The favourite video requested so far is "Card School with John Harrison - The Early Years (1981/1989)".
So guys, if you're playing, stay fit, stay focused and get ready.
If you're watching, get to the Sils early.
Soup pre-orders should be emailed to Pat Lane, especially if it's a bit parky. We can't wait !
