Old Sils 4s v Old Halesonians 5s Sunday 12th March
This is the re-arranged fixture from Saturday 11th February. Old Hales are just off the bottom of the table with nine points although with four wins and three draws they should be mid-table with fifteen points. It looks as though they have been docked six points for failing to raise a side for two away fixtures. However, on their day they can be tough to beat as these results show: a 1-1 draw against fourth placed Redditch, a narrow 2-3 defeat by unbeaten league leaders Hampton, a whopping 10-0 win against Bromsgrove and a 2-2 draw against fifth placed Worcester.
With Edgbaston just one point below us in third place and nine points still to play for the maths is straightforward, we need to win if we are to hold on to second place. With our current injuries and a depleted squad available for selection there is no doubt that this will be a testing fixture. There is also no doubt that if we play to our potential we can beat them as we did in the first encounter when the score was 5-1 in our favour. Come on the mighty 4s, let's do it!
