M4 battle hard but finish second in top v bottom clash

Maybe it was the earlier start time
Maybe it was the hastily rearranged squad
Maybe it was the absence of talisman Rushy (but he’s back next week #woopwoop)

Or maybe we did our best but weren't good enough on the day

On reflection it was, perhaps, the latter.

Great performances from the likes of Jem and Josh, supported by the usual suspects but the reality is that Hampton had the majority of possession and the Mighty Fours did mighty well to contain their opponents.

Onto next week and the hope that “the return of the Rush” will have the Grealish effect. So, for starters, he is Captain (for the day anyway).

PS
The early start time meant that we were “invited” by the rugby brethren to take part in the raffle.
After today’s events I think that we will not be invited to do the same again. Why you may ask?
Well, Keith drive home with a bottle of vodka and John drove home with Tony’s bottle of Merlot.
Worry not, all four will be seen at the dinner. LOL.
