Their talent and extensive experience will be instrumental in nurturing the skills of our male & female players, enabling them to excel and continue a superb track record of league successes.
Etienne Blatt, returns for his 6th season with OSHC as Junior Head Coach; Etienne, previously lead video analyst for South African Women's Hockey, has established himself as a popular, effective and highly motivational coach with our junior players and he is also a valued member of our 1st XI.
Virginia Bournot brings truly international talent and experience to her coaching role having coached top league teams in the UK, Argentina, and Chile.
Alex Holloway is a rising star in UK hockey coaching, and we are delighted he is joining us as Lead Men’s Performance Coach. Alex plays for University of Birmingham 1st XI in the England Hockey National League, and is Men’s Club Captain for the 23/24 season. He is the lead Video Analyst for Performance Teams with specific responsibility reviewing the Women’s National Premier team performances and he coached the UoB 4th XI last season to League championship and promotion.
Sharon Smith returns as Women’s Head Coach and we are thrilled to have her talent; she was recently appointed as one of the Lead Coaches for the Birmingham Talent Academy has also been accepted into the GB Hockey Advanced Coach Programme; where the country's leading coaches work on a 2-year development cycle; this esteemed programme has been the foundation for many of the most talented International coaches.
