Old Silhillians Hockey Club formally launch partnership with SNAP Sponsorship

OSHC are delighted to announce that they have officially started working with SNAP Sponsorship, with four specific aims in mind:
1. To develop the engagement and custom for local businesses to the club by working with our membership
2. To help support the costs of developing the community facility at The Silhillians to not only improve the current pitches, clubhouse and surrounding areas, but also to increase the options for playing sport to provide more flexible and appropriate spaces for non-mainstream groups
3. To ensure the costs of playing sport are maintained at affordable levels for everyone that wants to play sport, and not just privileged groups
4. To help market and promote the club and its wider assets to benefit both the hockey club, and also those businesses sponsoring the club

SNAP have many years of experience in raising both funds for sports clubs, but also increasing the business for local companies, and will be bringing not only this expertise to the partnership, but also their bespoke Sponsorship platform – the pages for which can be found here:

Local Businesses
You will note from the pages that there are currently many opportunities available to sponsor individual assets, players or digital/web media, and the club would welcome any interest from local businesses that would be keen to either take up any of these opportunities, or to explore any other commercial relationships that they may wish to develop with the club.

The club is happy to discuss proven activations such as any of the following:
• Direct Referrals based on the club sharing details with our membership
• Supporting Corporate Social Responsibility activity via Community projects
• Direct sponsorship of physical assets at the club and/or marketing boards
• Sponsorship of digital assets such as social media accounts, the club website etc.
• Promotional Events / Seminars hosted at the club and with the club membership invited to attend
• Individual Player Sponsorship (see details below)
• Membership Cards – linked to discounts and/or commissions paid to the club
• Providing vouchers to go into our annual “Auction of Promises” – this will lead to guaranteed custom from someone bringing their business to you

Every penny raised through sponsorship will go directly into improving the community facilities and ensuring that local grass roots sport remains affordable to all.

Club Members
As a club member, we are asking you to share the link for the SNAP Profile with as many contacts as you can - https://tinyurl.com/OSHC-Sponsorship - but also after a soft launch of individual player sponsorship by some of our Ladies 1st team squad, we are asking if every player in the club can look to obtain an individual sponsor.

Individual Sponsorship
• We will create a profile for every individual player that wants one, with custom graphics (either using a pre-existing photo, or one you can send to us)
• We will then ask each player to obtain an individual sponsor by sharing with their family/friends and local businesses. Each sponsorship is £50.

What does a Sponsor receive in return?
1. As much promotion as the individual being sponsored can deliver, using their individual profile
2. Entry into a prize draw to win 5% of all sponsorship income raised through the individual player sponsorship programme (so the more businesses that can be encouraged to sponsor players, the more the prize pot will be)
3. Exposure through the Club channels (Social Media, website, newsletters etc.)
4. Knowing that they are supporting grass roots sport, and potentially helping someone they know personally

What does the Individual Player get?
a. Entry into a prize draw to win 5% of all sponsorship income raised through the individual player sponsorship programme (if you get more than one sponsor, then you get more than one entry into the prize draw, so try and secure as many sponsors as you can, to raise your chances of winning the prize pot)
b. An individual player profile page
c. The opportunity to tell everyone you / your child is a sponsored player!
d. For all those playing Saturday afternoon hockey, we will look to create a highlights video, taken from the content we will capture at home games, which will be edited and tagged with the sponsor’s logos

If you are interested in becoming a Club Sponsor, or would like to know more about any of the items mentioned above, please do not hesitate to contact Steve Tabb – Club Chairman – stephentabb@hotmail.com / 07900 884100
