Sils made it a perfect seven from seven with a hard fought 1-0 victory, With a side full of defenders and midfielders, the team struggled to create enough forward threat given the amount of possession they had. Atherstone defended well, and cleared their lines effectively, relying upon their strong, and direct running centre-forward to create their goal threats.

In the end, a performance which was not one of the team's best, still led to a 1-0 victory, the winning goal coming from an excellent Jess Bray run and cross, for Lizzie Gayton to ghost in at the far post and score her first Sils league goal.

Lots of positives to take from the game, though perhaps more to do with simply getting the game played, than the overall performance. This was the first time the club had hosted 6 home games on one day; with the 3s playing at Solihull School, and also a debut umpiring performance by Alexandra Braakman - a huge thanks for offering to help out.
