On Saturday we played away against a very experienced and competent Stratford XI. From the outset our young development players exerted tremendous pressure on the Stratford defence. Alex, Jack, Arty and Isaac played together as a unit showing great energy, excellent passing and superb individual skills.

A joy to watch.

Between them they produced shot after shot and by the beginning of the second half we were 3-0 up. Daniel was excellent at left back and Ruaridh also pulled off some excellent saves as usual. Tom was inspirational in providing excellent guidance to the young players and the more mature contingent, Mick, Tony and Dave glued the team together.

It all looked so good but Stratford did not give up and their dogged performance led to two well taken goals late in the second half. This led to a very nervy last few minutes but we held on to win 3-2.
