Sils Triumphant

After three wins on the bounce Sils 3XI find themselves second in the league and with the league leaders drawing at West Bromwich earlier in the day the gap could be reduced to one point.

Sils started off by winning the toss, and also the first penalty corner after just a few minutes, Sam "McEnroe" Johnstone injected to Thurman who had enough time to pick his spot to slot home, 0-1.

After that he was goal tag with Wednesbury equalising after Sils scored the next two, two good team goals from Allana and Rice (Calum) were cancelled out by Wednesbury but a fourth from Sam Johnstone saw sils go in to half time 4-3 up.

Sils knew that the next goal would change the game and were determined to get it, plenty of pressure from Wednesbury saw them exposed and a breakaway goal saw sils extend their lead to 5-3.

Sils got another later on to make it 6-3 and as Thurman squandered a one on one with the keeper Wednesbury broke and scored. Thurman then squandered a second one on one but Sils managed to hold on to the win and another three points.

Next week they face West Bromwich who drew 3-3 with league leaders Bridgnorth.
