It's just not cricket !

With Keith's access rights denied it falls upon me to keep the continuity of match reports flowing.

I'll keep it short as, in truth, it was very much a one-sided affair, with a second team strength opposition turning up to play a Sils fourth XI, boosted by the presence of two exceptionally promising youngsters,in the guise of Tom Loughran and Joe Houlcroft.

Chances for the home side were few and far between, but the second half saw Sils consolidate and force a number of errors that almost lead to the first goal of the season for the mighty 4s.

At the back, Yogi (Bear (1)) and the defence had an extremely busy 70 minutes. The opposition ,who had decided to cede home advantage and play away (2), used the full width of the pitch to great effect, putting the home side under pressure from the start.

The BBC's midfield, marshalled by Jack & Nora (3, come on, think about it), stretched Sils to the limit, and despite the fantastic vocal support from the crowd, which included (Postman) Pat Lane (4), it was no Surprise (Surprise (5)) that the BBC scored more goals in the second half to ensure that they won a hard-fought contest.

In the final seconds of the match, hopes were high that the flashing blade (6) of John Harrison would see Sils pull a goal back, but it was not to be.

And so(oty)(7) (ok, I am getting desperate) to the next game. With confidence we expect to be fitter not fatter,and will be putting in a greater show v Hampton.

It's good to be back.? Of course it is. We just need to remember that left is left, right is right, and that Shaun's hairdryer hurts ......
