So, the second month of the year and the Mighty Fours head towards Valentine’s Day unbeaten.
A great performance and result against a tough opposition sees Sils head towards next week’s bottom of the table clash with Khalsa, high on confidence. No muppets on the pitch at Copt Heath, but a couple watched on, and are responsible for the match report :
T - three well taken goals, either side of the break, including a sharp set-piece that saw Keith finish from two yards out
H - heroics from keeper Callum. An assured display, whether blocking shots or setting up attacks from the back.
R - Rushy. The score says not, but we did miss him.
E - energy, energy, energy. With Bates in the line-up, it was never going to be missing. A Sils performance so fine that meant he kept his French in his kitbag.
E - everyone put a pitch in for MOM but Harrison came out on top. Great shift as defensive central midfielder.
O - one team showed greater desire over the full 70 and that was the home team. Johnstone, Scott and Rice worked solidly in midfield and the roving Couldery wore a set of trainers out. Great work rate.
N - no rain, unbelievable. However the team were showered with praise as they left the pitch, particularly, Gregory, Lane, the wizard of Oz and Betty, who were immense in defence.
E - end (of the match report).
