So, the Mighty 4s completed their pre-season (which included being the Mighty 3s) with a close match against Bromsgrove, with positive signs for the season ahead, along with some lessons if we are to be serious contenders.
The abridged report:
We had periods where we were mustard - Tom Whitfield and MoM Tom Smith combining elegantly in the midfield to create space and goals (Keith, Tom Smith and, of course, Rushy all bagging one). Betty and Tony showing their young opponents that years of grass skill makes running through them a literal schoolboy error. We were unlucky to have a goal ruled out from a short corner as we pressed to get a second half equaliser.
We also had some cooler patches - when, mainly in the 1st half, our mouths moved more than our legs ... and of course the green card from Ian (even if he had no idea what happened and few others noticed).
Overall, a decent performance and bring on the league season
