We started very brightly with some crisp passing that created several good chances that Warren Gray messed up. However we seemed to let Bloss back into the game after the first 15 and only by some very good keeping by Jim Goldstraw did we manage not to concede. Unfortunately the old Bloss niggles started to mount up and after several warnings from Andrew Scott he had no choice but to card one of their forwards for a really poor challenge on Warren. He started walking before the card was out of the pocket but was shortly followed by their umpire who seemed aggrieved by the decision! Sometime before this incident Nick Oppenheimer had scored to give us the lead. The last 10 minutes was fairly tame but we held onto the lead albeit not many seemed to have really enjoyed the match when the final whistle was blown.
It being Valentines week the usual post match check shirt policy was replaced by a well supported red theme as seen in the report photo.
