An initially merry band of 11 made the far less scenic trip to
Brackley last night to face a decidedly mixed age Banbury side that gave little
quarter at the back whilst not creating much up front either. The game was
decided by a single strike in the first half by the oppo that left Jim little
chance but a much stronger second half showing by us unfortunately was not
rewarded by any goal. Unfortunately most of the post match discussion in the
showers, at the curry house and no doubt on the way home in the various cars
was centered not so much on the result but on the nature of the attitude of
some of their players but more importantly ours.
On a very
positive note all of us made it to the local curry house, hopefully picture to
follow on website if not done already, where we had the opportunity to toast
Richard's 35th birthday making him an official vet. Hopefully his wife has
purchased him some red trousers so that he will feel more at home whilst also
looking his age :)
