It would seem that hospitalizing (have I spelt that right Nob's?) your captain just after half time is the way to galvanise a loosing team into a winning side! We turned up last night with 2 subs which was fairly quickly reduced to 1 after Nol tripped over his own foot :) A pacey Yardley had taken the lead and we seemed to struggle to get our rhythm going so it was time to rearrange the formation at half time. Obviously I can't comment on exactly how this worked out as they were not showing this match at the Solihull minor injuries unit where I was receiving treatment after Rich twatted the ball into my head after the whistle had been blown!
Anyway moving on, I understand that Adam and Ricey scored good goals to enable us to walk off 2 -1 to the good. Certainly when I got back to the clubhouse the team seemed to be in very good spirit although for some strange reason Thurman had been awarded MOM :( I tried to not get dis heartened by this lack of respect and blame vice captain "Sammy" for lack of control in my absence.
