The Peaky Blinders Pack a Punch

Firstly I would like welcome to Mark H who joined us last night to make his debut. Hi Mark 

The first half saw a dusty Sils side give away the ball far too much and concede two goals without much reply, a couple of penalty corners and one or two shots on target was about the best of the attack!

During the half time team talk it was obvious we had the desire to turn this around and definitely the skill and the feeling that we were the better side. This was proven by some excellent passing, this half saw us on several occasions link at least seven or eight passes together with some end results…shots on target and even more penalty corners. Olton couldn’t keep up with this and soon saw themselves drawing at 2-2, Dan Jones was on fire and full of energy despite his thirty minute warm up.

The turning/flash point came when Olton got a bit narked and their defender decided to plant one onto Danksy’s nose after slicing one at his left testy, once the blood had been cleaned off the pitch (from the nose not his balls!) the game restarted (the pizza got cold) and Sils capitalised on a deflated Olton stealing the winner with ten to go from an exceptionally worked penalty corner, masterminded from Si R and finished by Dan Jones.. not Mo!

In the bar the flat caps (Peaky Blinders) were out and Si R introduced something from the CBBC Rastamouse set for the winner of MOTM, which of course went unanimously to Dan Jones. Hopefully for the next outing to Northampton we will have a flourish of flat caps, there will be penalties for those without!!
