Sils hold their own against strong opposition

2 draws, 2 clean sheets, 2 goalkeepers, 1 narrow defeat. All in all a really good festival for the U10s, many of whom were playing competitive hockey for the first time. With 2 "no shows" from the 10 selected, Sils were unable to have a substitute, meaning that everyone played the full 45 minutes (3 x 15 minute games) v Atherstone, Olton & Leamington.

Libby - 8 - confident in goal, keeping a clean sheet v Atherstone. Made some good saves.
Flo - 8 - strong and reliable defender. Made several key clearances and marked well
Dominic - 8 - solid in central defence and tackled/marked well. Kept a clean sheet v Leamington.
Jess - 9 - shows great promise in midfield, both attacking and defending.
Bethany - 9 - worked very hard and did well in all three games, particularly strong v Leamington
Matthew - 8 - versatile player, defended well v Olton. Had a couple of great shots v Leamington
Caspar - 8 - developing into a good player who can tackle as well as attack.
Alastair - 8 - really good first tournament for this young man. Good spacial awareness and full of running.
