A promising performance from the side, who had the upper hand in terms of possession and chances. However they left Nuneaton with a draw thanks to a late equaliser that gave Harry Bray no chance.
The whole side - Harry, Dominic, Molly, Rosie, Teghan, James, James, Serena, Flo - played some very good hockey in each of the three ten minute periods and deservedly took the lead halfway through the first period when Serena fired the ball into the net after some great build up work involving James Wilson and Teghan. More chances fell to Flo, James, James, Rosie and Teghan but in what was often a packed D, the ball just couldn't find its way into the goal.
Nuneaton looked increasingly dangerous in the second and third periods, and a series of great saves from Harry, and some crucial interceptions from Molly, Dominic and Rosie, kept Sils lead intact.
However in the last five minutes, a breakaway from Nuneaton resulted in their left winger having effectively a one on one opportunity, and he slotted the ball home to ensure that honours were even.
Well done everyone.
