Late Goal For Nuneaton Draw

Sils travel to Nuneaton on a cold but bright day to play Nuneaton U12s at Etone College.

Two halves of 20 minutes were played just before the rain came down, Sils went keeperless while Nuneaton played their relatively new goalkeeper.

Sils took the lead after some good midfield work from Eloise and some lovely individual play from Kheya who eventually slotted the ball home.

James look very strong in defence and made some great saves (reverse stick) to deny an equaliser but Sils couldnt keep Nuneaton at bay for long and eventually they scored after a very poor instruction from the coach, sorry Sils!

Half Time 1-1

Sils came out strong in the second half and some great defensive work from Maisie and Melissa and some good running from Dan saw them score their second goal and take the lead for the second time.

Sils applied more pressure in midfield from Eva and Susie but could find a way to get the ball over the line, Sam used his height advantage to get stuck in and make some good passes but having a keeper proved very beneficial and Sils still couldnt seal the victory.

With not long to go Sils looked the strongest team and seemed to be heading to victory when Nuneaton broke and lifted the ball over a Sils stick to score an equaliser.

Final whistle came soon after and a good game was enjoyed by all, 2-2.

Player of the Match: Maisie Le-Van.
