Sils U14s played in the latest set of festival matches at their own venue.
With 3 players not showing up (sadly), and one being ill, the team had a bare 7 players, but they all performed admirably.
The first game was the closest of them all - though Atherstone took the honours 4-0, this was not a fair reflection of the performance.
However, the side clicked in the second and third games with excellent attacking contributions, and goals, from Daniel Bridges, Maxim Edger, Megan McDonagh and William Maidment; whilst at the back, clean sheets were kept by the excellent tackling of Mackenzie Hill and Charlie Russell, and the expert keeping of John Abram.
The team put Olton to the sword, scoring 6, and then demolished Leamington, who played without a GK, but the Sils teams were very sensible with all of their shooting - never causing any danger to the Leamington last line, but still converting into double figures.
A lovely way to finish for Christmas!
