U14s Win Sutton Tournament

On Sunday 1st October 2017 the Old Silhillian U14 squad won the Sutton tournament, winning all four matches; beating strong teams from Sutton, Bromsgrove, Stratford and Atherstone. All players contributed in equal measure, showing great resilience to come back from being 1-0 down in two matches. All those who represented the club - Kheya Ballentine-Brain, Josh Bowley, Megan Croft, Maxim Edger, Izzy Gardner, Amy Garside, Cara Moment, Fergus Montgomery, Mathew Hulbert and Ollie Williams - should be proud of their achievement. They worked well as a team, giving superb support and encouragement to one another; a factor which underpinned their success.

Special thanks to all the parents who a) got all the players there b) gave such positive support to the team for their efforts! They couldn't do it without you! Last but not least, many thanks to the Old Sils coaching team - especially Tom - for all the time you've devoted to the U14 squad over the past month; it has paid off nicely! Keep going, its appreciated!
