Sils took a junior squad to Telford, to take on Telford and Stourport in the National Development League for U14 Girls.
As it happened, one player could not make it, and so the bare 7, became a not quite enough 6, and the girls played superbly well to lose 5-2 to Telford, with most of the team at least 2 years younger than permitted.
Unfortunately, because of the way that the fixtures were scheduled, the magnificent 6, had no break and had to play against Stourport, who were both older, and more organised.
The Sils players battled valiantly, but in the end, tired legs really took their toll, and Stourport ran out easy winners.
However, this was a fantastic effort by the young Sils team, and provides them with more experience for matches to come.
