Old sils ladies 3s v Hampton

Our first match of the season opened on a hot sunny afternoon! We had a team of 13 including three new third team players, so welcome to Ellie Bray, Sandra Rowland and goalie Mary Davies!

We were under pressure defending for most of the first half and Hampton scored 2 goals. It was down to fantastic keeping from Mary Davies that prevented more goals going in!
Sandra Rowland had a great debut game too defending excellently.
We came out to the second half a different team with the whole team working hard and really well together. Our goal came from a short corner with Ella Talbot scoring helped by Issie Thomas and Issi Smith.
We continued to fight hard through the second half but couldn't secure a second goal! Ellie bray another debut player showed excellent speed and played hard moving and pushing the ball forward?

In summary a great start to the new season in terms of effort and the whole team played well !
