Last minute fill in match against blossomfield

After a cancellation for our league match Blossomfield 4s stepped in to give everyone a Sunday match!

We turned out in force with 14 of our regular team playing!

The first half was well matched and even with everyone working hard and the backs clearing high to the forwards who were unlucky to not get a goal!
The mids again were consistent and determined with great work rate from Issie Thomas, Izzie Smith, Tara Ackroyd and Georgia Smith.
Lauren Clarke showed great hitting skills today as did all the backs who are proving to be a strong line to be reckoned with.

The second half saw me taken off early with hand injury from an opposition stick so the report will now be brief as I didn't see much for a while! No goals were scored but Blossomfield came stronger in attack and the defence were excellent keeping out a number of strong attempts. Mary Davies was superb commanding the D and keeping the ball out of the goal including one on one attempts!! Fantastic play!

The final result was a no goal draw !
A great game we all enjoyed ( although I would like to have finished the game!! )
