The Sils returned to action last weekend by hosting Coalville with what turned out to be a depleted squad available to the captain.
This showed from the start with the Sils unable to gain control of the game but the Sils defended well led at the back from Tom Harrission and all worked hard for each other, none more so than man of the match Danny Nicholl. The Sils took an unlikely lead half way through the first half when Jamie Glynn showed some excellent skills in rounding the keeper and slamming the ball home. This seemed to bring confidence to the Sils and they soon double their lead once again through the skipper who fired low into the corner from his reverse stick. Unfortunately just before the break Coalville worked a short corner routine well to reduce the defecit.
In the second half the lack of subs started to tell on the Sils and another well worked short corner routine levelled the scores. However, with not long left the Sils had the ball in the back of the net again, only to have a short corner awarded, questions were asked but the game ended up as a draw 2-2.
