A glorious day at St Nicholas Park saw Old Silhillians 3XI play Khalsa.
Sils started the better of the two seeing most of the possession in the first half but less than a handful of shots on goal.
Howard pulled of some great saves just before half time seeing both sides go in evens stevens at 0-0.
Khalsa came out the stronger in the second half casuing Sils to lose their shape and dertmination, after Khalsa took a one goal lead things got worse for the Sils as we stretched our play to get the equaliser, this ended up in Khalsa scoring shortly after their first with a bullet of a penalty corner, unsavable!
Only two shots from The Sils in the second half, an overhead effort from Jack Morris which nearly ended up top corner and a mid height shot at the keeper from Rich Thurman was all that they could muster up.
Two more goals from Khalsa saw of a depleted Old Sils 3XI, however we all believe we will turn it over back at The Mighty Sihillians!
Must note: some very promising youngsters: Lukas Moment, Harvey Wilson and Jack Morris!
