Bouncebackability at its best!

Sils faced a very much changed Leicester Westleigh at the Silhilliams Sports Club.

With M2 and sickness taking three defenders M3 still managed to produce a squad of 14 but only three recognisable defenders the captain decided to start in a 3-5-2 formation, obvs this didn't work as they went 3-0 down.

Things changed enormously when Perkins turned up and the formation reverted back to what they were used to of a 4-4-2.

This changed proved successful as shortly after Sils pulled one back with some great work down the right from Josh Rice who cut to the by line and pulled (chipped) it back to brother Calum who pushed it past the keepers ear.

Sils came out strongest and saw the majority of possession in the second half, some fairly quick goals from Thurman, praise to Nick Rice who spotted that while Leicester ran out on PCs they stopped, Thurman took advantage of this on the next one, John Rice injected, Thurman stopped it, made everyone a cup of tea then smashed it in the bottom corner.

Another short, same result.

Another short, almost defended, but again more space and time was given.......goal.

Final few mins showed some individual brilliance from John Rice, after about 20 minutes of being pushed, shoved, tripped, kicked, pulled and body slammed he finally broke through down the right, cut inside and slammed home from the narrowest of angles!

Great game (well second half), awesome fight back mad the moral of the story is, don't let the captain play anything but 4-4-2 and of course never ever give up!
