The long wait for this re-arranged fixture from February did not disappoint with Sils taking all three points.

It was a welcome return for Simon this week, and with Jim taking the keeper’s spot we got to see Yogi work his magic out field this week. Thanks to Pat for writing down the key things that happened in the match for me because I wouldn’t have had a clue otherwise.

First Half
• After good pressure from Sils we were rewarded with a short corner, unfortunately the shot went wide
• With some sterling work in the middle from Yogi and Simon, Sils kept up the pressure
• Even after Hales conceded their 1st short corner, some top defending helped keep the score level
• All the pressure eventually paid off with Rushy’s solid attacking run, and quality cross to Simon whose finish put a great end to the half 1-0

Second Half
• Sils didn’t let up in the 2nd half and that led to Simon taking another strike on goal which was shepherded into the net by Keith 2-0
• Just a minute later, a mistake from Hales defence allowed Rushy to make the score line a full 3-0
• Solid defensive work from Sam and Mick helped to fend off attacks on both sides of the pitch from Hales
• Great linking play between Jack, James, and Rushy kept the Hales Defence on their toes
• A good pass from James to Rushy led to Rushy scoring Sils 4th goal 4-0
• Hales were pushing hard to try and break our clean sheet, and with a short corner in the 33rd minute it was some great keeping from Jim that ensured the 4-0 final score line.

A great start to our final 3 matches of the season, with just 2 more to go, let’s make this 3 from 3!
