Two Hits from our Musical Youth (JG and Maxim) so why the Thin Lizzy Reference ?

This week’s match report is brought to you thanks to the genius of Phil Lynott and James Gregory - read on, or should I say “sing” (wasn’t that Ed Sheeran? Ed (the Editor))

Guess who just got back Saturday
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Fair few changes I must say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy

Sutton thought they’d give us the run around
But our fighting spirit we’d finally found
Showed’em up with an early lead
Even if 4 we did concede

The boys are back in town
(The 4s are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The 4s are back in town again)

You know that Maxim made a stunning shot!
Almost every attack Tony Jamieson and Charlie Russell did stop
When I say Yogi was cool he only fluffed one easy shot
Rushy in our D? He must be day dreaming
And that time over at John Harrison’s wing
we made great passes from Mick through to Keith
Man, we played the ball all over the place
With Skipper Dave pulling off some stellar tackles.

The boys are back in town

It was great to see everyone at the warm up before the game this week this really was the first match of the rest of our season! #TheMightyFours

Post Script

1. JG scored his first ever goal for The Mighty Fours to give Sils a well-deserved lead in the first half.
Maxim rifled Home a short corner to level things up at 2-2 early in the second half before Sutton made their extra man, and possession count. But, as James & Phil said, this was a performance that showed that the boys are back in town.

2. JG’s decision to take the Lizzy theme means that “Gregory’s Girl/Goal” theme will stay in the locker until his second gets scored.
