Sils went behind in the first minute of the game following some more defensive lapses and although chances were created the opposition keeper was never really forced into any dynamic saves with the majority of any shots on target sailing straight to the centre of the goal. It remained 0:1 at half time and Long Buckby added two further goals in the second half to record their first victory of the season.
Highlights of the game for Sils were limited to Tamara Majevadia hitting the post and goalkeeper Joanne Brett once again being too busy for comfort having to make save upon save, thwarting several one on ones, and culminating in saving a penalty flick.
Rule number one needs to be remembered throughout to make future games a little easier. Rule number 1 – pass to your own side!
Moving on……….
MoM: Tamara Majevadia back from injury covered the whole pitch trying to get some momentum into the team and culminating with her shot hitting the post.
DoD: Only one winner this week Frankie Levey, when told we are at home playing in red it is meant to be home shirts not your best RED T-shirt!!
