Won two, lost two. five goals scored, eight conceded.
At the end of the tournament at Edgbaston, the U10s came away with the most improved team, an accolade justly deserved having lost the first two games and won the second two.
The U10s were finding the feet against Warwick in the first match, a strong side who went on to win the tournament overall. The second match began the U10s fight back with better play holding the defensive line and Matthew Hulbert scoring.
The third match against Edgbaston began to see the U10s gain more confidence in the defensive ranks, a clean sheet (never easy without a goal keeper), and a goal from Connie Smith gave great confidence for a strong show in the final game. With three goals against Olton by Connie Smith, Matthew Hulbert and Emelia Moberley, and a clean sheet held by a strong defence, this was our best game with strong play down the wings and a great use of space.
Thanks to the coaches on the day Tom Moffitt, assisted by Harry Peachey and Luke Kent. A great tournament and fun day for all of us.
