The U12 Girls won the plate at the annual Solihull School tournament.
The girls finished third in the much tougher of the two groups after winning 2-0 v Atherstone, Losing 4-2 to Olton and also losing 4-0 to Sutton.
Not to be disheartened though, they picked themselves up to play Warwick in the semi final of the plate winning on sudden death flicks, the first round of flicks was 2-2 after 3 each so sudden death came and Melissa Thurman scored whilst GK Libby King saved.
The final was versus Atherstone (proving that Sils had definitely been in the tougher group initially) and also went to flicks, in fact many flicks, maybe 8 or 9 but it came down the Melissa and Libby to win it for us with the same combination as the semi, Melissa scored and Libby saved.
As expected a very slick tournament enjoyed by all - congrats to everyone involved, and thanks to all their parents for their support.
