Development side beaten but not humiliated

A very young Sils side took on one of the biggest clubs in the Country (Beeston) and another of the Midlands biggest clubs (Lichfield) with a very young U14 side including 2 x 10 year olds, and 1 x 11 year old, along with 1 x 12 year old, and 3 x 13 year olds with no recognised GK. Whilst they lost both games convincingly, they should not be ashamed about how they played, and they were definitely not humiliated. All players and supporters were very proud of the performances put in by the lads who for long periods of their matches competed with their much older and more experienced opposition.

Hopefully everyone who played today will take the positives from the match as they have a very bright future to look forward to.

Thanks to Simon Cossey for Umpiring, and Simon McGuirk and Stewart Johnstone for looking after the team.
