A slightly damp Sunday morning trip to Leicester didn't seem like the ideal start to they day but what followed certainly brightened everyone's day,
The boys played 2 games as part of the U14 development league against Leicester Westleigh and Berkswell and Balsall Common, then a friendly game against a Leicester Westleigh .
The boys started a bit slowly but accelerated rapidly beating everyone in sight. The 2 League games finishing 7-0 and 9-0 in our favour and the friendly finishing 13-0 even though we played the second half with no keeper after Johnnie took a ball to the knee.
The way the team played as a team and for each other was a joy to see, spreading the ball around, dropping back covering spaces, it was really great hockey to watch.
Thanks go to Shaun Bates for coaching the team and to Tim Horsler for coming along to umpire.
I'm not going to single any players out as everyone of them played their part with, Skill, Dedication and Professionalism, You were a credit to the club and your parents boys.
