Great work by Sils over at Stourport

Sils travelled to Stourport to take on the hosts and Telford & Wrekin.

Sils beat Stourport 4-3 but then lost to Telford 8-3 with goals from Abby Richards, Izzy Gardner, Emilia Moberley, Lorna Brooks-Scott. Very good performances from the U14 girls and some strong younger girls helping out and not looking out place! Hattie Evans worked tirelessly throughout to help support the team, whilst Izzy and Emilia were a constant threat.

With only a small squad, and the difficulty of having back to back fixtures, Sils were dominant until they tired, and then struggled a little to keep up with the fresh legs of Telford.

However, this same set of fixtures last year saw Sils lose both games, so this was a great improvement. With a larger squad, and a GK, Sils probably would have won both matches. Well done to all involved, and thanks to all the travelling parents/supporters - particularly Andrew Scott who got roped into umpiring when our umpire was unable to make it due to being ill and Telford did not provide one.
